This relaxed golf resort lies 12.8 miles from Dupont State Forest, and 13.8 miles from the Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site.
Traditional rooms and suites come with screened balconies, cable TV, free Wi-Fi and golf course views. Suites add kitchens.
Hot buffet breakfast is free. In addition to the 27-hole golf course, the resort has a driving range, putting greens and a casual American restaurant. Other amenities include an outdoor pool, tennis and volleyball courts, and horseshoe pits. Event/banquet facilities are available.
We chose this location because we came to visit NC on our 3rd year anniversary. I proposed and it was an idea out of adventure that made us want to have our wedding and go on a honeymoon in the area. We had to postpone in April 2020. So we are planning ahead of April 2021 to make things work while Covid is still around.
